An exciting opportunity for 2 PhD students (fully funded for 4 years) is available, as part of a flexible surgical robotics project. We are looking for candidates with background in robotics, computer science, and/or microelectronics and sensing.
The students will join a vibrant team that is developing next generation cognitive flexible micro-surgical robots. Our team enjoys good funding from the European Research Council and the Academy of Medical Sciences. Further, we are well linked with the UCL Institute of Healthcare Engineering, and the newly founded Wellcome Trust EPSRC Centre for Surgical and Interventional Sciences.
The positions are fully funded for 4 years, and come with travel and consumables support. The university’s fees will be covered at the EU/UK level. The expected start date is September 2017, but earlier start dates may also be accommodated.
